WHAT ARE HAND-TIED EXTENSIONS?
Well, hand-tied actually refers to the type of hair we use. Amazingly, the hair is tied by hand creating individual wefts that are about 12” long. The hair extensions are installed by creating a comfortable foundation using silicone lined beads, your hair and some thread. Seriously, its that simple!
how do you install the hair?
It all begins with your stylist creating a foundation by threading your own natural hair through beads to create what extension artists refer to as a “row”. The hand-tied wefts are then placed above and below this beaded foundation and sewn with a special needle and thread. The beads are hidden in between the layered wefts (like a sandwich) and completely undetectable wether you’re wearing your hair up or down. This is why this method of extensions is frequently referred to as “beaded row extensions”.
how long does the hair last?
With proper at home care (discussed during your consultation) and use of our recommended products, blondes can anticipate their hair lasting 6-8 months while brunettes can last 8-12 months.
HOW MUCH TIME WILL THIS ADD TO MY ROUTINE?
Your extensions will grow out naturally with your hair, so they need to be moved up around every 8 weeks. As for adding time to your morning routine, you may find yourself catching more zzz’s. That’s right, most extension wearers find that they’re washing and styling their hair less than they were before. It’s hard to believe something can be that magical! will i need to wear them forever?
Some clients only wear extensions for a period of time while growing out a shorter style or waiting for their natural volume to return after having a baby. Others have never had the desired density due to genetics and swear they’ll never go without again. In any situation, our stylists are well trained and have experience in many methods so you can be assured that you won’t be left with less hair or damaged hair due to wearing beaded row extensions.
what is the average investment?
While I would love to provide a single price point for my budget curious babes, the truth is the price of hair extension services varies dramatically. We work with different suppliers to match color, length, texture and density of our clients natural hair. We also ensure a flawless color match which includes custom coloring. Due to the many variables, there isn’t a price point I can provide without a consultation. The largest investment is the initial appointment which includes the purchase of your hair. For maintaining your rows, the pricing is reflected in our service menu.
